Wednesday Venue Spotlight

Venue Spotlight: The Mansion - Texas Federation of Women's Clubs

A Texas historic landmark, The Mansion has been around since 1931. It has so much charm that it does not require much to make it beautiful. Brides are able to rent the entire mansion and utilize the Grand Ballroom, Parlor, Library, Georgian Room and Dining Room! Overall, this is one of my favorite Austin venues with a lot to offer!

No need for a tent rain plan here, there are enough rooms to accommodate a ceremony and reception

The stage is perfect for having a band for your entertainment

Real Wedding: Adrienne and Oscar at the UT Alumni Center

The sun is shining bright outside and it reminded me that I still haven't posted this gorgeous spring wedding from last March. Cheerful yellows, silvery greys, and details of succulents and burlap complete with so many fun DIY projects by the bride & groom. This wedding is sure to inspire you!

Thank you Erica from Whitney Lee Photography for sharing the photos with us!

The wedding cakes were made by the lovely Mother of the Groom!

FAVORS are FUN!

Why are favors important?

Although not necessary, favors can be a great touch to acknowledge your guests for making the effort to attend your wedding and celebrate with you and your spouse. Each person cleared their schedule for the day or sometimes two, bought a gift, got fixed up and many times, traveled to get to your wedding.

So...what are some favor options?

Something Sweet

Smores
(Packaged items are easy to take home)

Honey
(With a cute phrase or locally made)

Candy Bar
(Because everyone loves to make their own goody bag)

Source: Mazel Moments

Something Practical

Glasses or Fans
(Great for outdoor weddings)

Source: Rifle Paper Co.

Coozies
(Customizable-Usable-Fun)

Something Fun

Bubbles
(Dual purpose- the grand exit and to keep)

Plants
(To watch grow as your marriage does)

Something Charitable

Donation
(Instead of giving an actual gift, spend the favor money on a cause that is important to you)

Just Remember to say "thank you!"
