How to Include Your Dog in Your Wedding!

For all you dog owners- There is no doubt that many of you are crazy in love with your canine companion, and you may be considering including your dog on your wedding day. Whether you want to place a bow-tie around him or put her in a flower girl dress, there are endless possibilities to include your dog.

Paws Pet Photography

If you are going to include your pup, there are a few points you may want to consider. First, you should make sure dogs are allowed on site at your venue. Then...if he or she is going home with you, you will also want to book a dog-friendly hotel. Bringing a crate for the dog to relax in during the day at the wedding or hotel would be smart.

The White Gown

If you plan to have your dog accompany you down the aisle, make sure you have a few test runs and let him or her become accustom to the ceremony space. There should be a back up plan in place in case things don't go exactly as planned- arrange for someone the dog is familiar with to take care of your pup before, during and after the wedding. Dogs can be easily stimulated during large events and can become dehydrated quickly, therefore, make sure to treat your dog like one of the guests and make food and water accessible.

If you want your pooch to have a main role, give our dog a collar of crystals or pearls, a collar made of flowers or dress him in a classic tuxedo.

So maybe your dog is too rambunctious to be a part of the wedding...there are other ways you can show the significance of your favorite companion (the one other than your fiance of course).

You can take engagement photos and include pictures in your save-the-date's or invitations. Have a fun cake topper created of your furry friend, use a silhouette photo on your menu or program, or have dog cufflinks for the groom!

Bridal Guide

There are so many fun and creative ways to include your dog in your wedding celebration, and we have only listed a few. Be prepared though, with all the dog-lovers out there, your pup's cuteness may steal the spotlight!

Comment and let us know how you have included your dog or dogs in your wedding or events!

Simple Ways to Make the Kids Feel Welcome

...And out of things they should not be getting into :)

Keeping the kids amused is not the first thing on a bride's mind. If you have a guest list that includes more than just a couple of kiddos, plan ways to let them have fun while the adults enjoy everything you planned for them.

Here are just a few options to keep the kiddos occupied:

Designate a kids table complete with candy centerpieces and coloring activities that won't damage any clothing or linens.
